There are many ways to fill your days. A day 'at home' by the pool winding down or out and about exploring what Haute Vienne and the other parts of the Limousin, Creuse and Correze have to offer. There are many places to visit and pretty villages in the area.

Local restaurants, including a gourmet restaurant, offer quality food and value for money.
Limoges and Brive offer excellent shopping opportunities.

Market Days and Local Festivals

Many towns and villages have regular markets or foires.

Swimming, Sailing and Other Water Sports

Visit one of the lakes in the area like Lac de Vassiviere where you can hire a canoe, dinghy, windsurfer or other craft.

Museums and Places of Interest

In June 1944, the population of Oradour sur Glane was massacred by German troops. The village remains as it was left in 1944.

Other Activities

Fishing, Mountain biking,golf, tennis, paragliding and even hot air ballooning are all just a short drive away.

An exciting day out for the children is a visit to the aerial walkways near Lac de Vassiviere or Parc Bellevue near Limoges. You can even go back in time and take a sightseeing trip by steam train. Pompadour - Equestrian events and a Castle

The town of Pompadour is the home of the French National Stud which opens its doors to the public with a variety of events throughout the year.
The Chateau, on the Route de Richard, Coeur du Lion has guided visits.
